Taming the tongue.

Last weekend our pastor, Dave Prather, had a great sermon on taming the tongue. He spoke on how powerful it is and how it can be uncontrollable, inconsistent and evil.
" The tongue is the best part for it carries the soothing words of friendship and the whisper of love. And it is also the worst part for it bears the sting of hate and humiliation."

It is an eye opener to look back on the past few weeks and think of how many ungodly, unkind or hurtful words we have said compared to how many compliments or words of encouragement that were spoken.

If you get a chance listen to the song that is posted with this blog, it is really good.

I will try this week and do a little tongue taming myself.

My friend, you give me more compliments than anyone I know. Thank you for your encouragement.
P.S. Where did you get that picture of me? :)
